Tato přednáška představí, ilustruje a demonstruje na příkladech a případových studií, jak hudba podporuje transformaci jako terapeutickou modalitu a jak je využívána jako spoluterapeut v psychedelické terapii. Kromě toho se přednášející Lisa Summer podělí o nový hudební protokol založený na technice Guided Imagery and Music (GIM), který se v současné době používá u pacientů v psychedelických klinických studiích v Bostonu s rakovinou, bolestí rezistentní na opioidy (Dana Farber Cancer Institute), IBS (Massachusetts General Hospital) a poruchou užívání alkoholu (Brigham and Women’s Hospital).

Bio:
Lisa Summer, PhD 28 let působila jako ředitelka muzikoterapie na Anna Maria College. Patří mezi uznávané certifikované muzikoterapeuty a jako emeritní profesorka reprezentuje hlas a výcvik transpersonální metody Helen Bonny, Guided Imagery and Music (GIM). Deset let spolupracovala s Bonny jako koordinátorka jejího GIM školení a vydala její sebrané spisy, Music and Consciousness (Barcelona Publications). Mezi vlastní publikace Dr. Summer patří Music: The New Age Elixir, kritika léčby hudbou, stejně jako kapitoly v knihách a články, které popisují její přístup k modelu Continuum Model of GIM.
Její přínos pro profesi muzikoterapie byl oceněn cenami za výzkum a služby, včetně ceny American Music Therapy Association Presidential Award. Lisa je v současné době aktivní, pořádá školení, workshopy a prezentace po celém světě a online prostřednictvím svého Institutu pro hudbu a vědomí. Od roku 2021 je spoluterapeutkou a hudební programátorkou pro psychedelické výzkumné studie v Bostonu.
Lisa je nadšená, že může zkoumat způsoby, jak aplikovat teorii a dovednosti muzikoterapie při vytváření nových protokolů pro použití hudby při přípravě, dávkování, integraci a nových přístupů k navrhování hudebních programů.

This presentation will introduce and illustrate, through demonstration and case study examples, how music creates transformation as a therapeutic modality and how it is utilized as a co-therapist in psychedelic therapy. In addition, I will share a novel Guided Imagery and Music (GIM)-informed music protocol currently being implemented with patients in psychedelic clinical trials in Boston with cancer, opioid-refractory pain (Dana Farber Cancer Institute), IBS (Massachusetts General Hospital), and alcohol use disorder (Brigham and Women’s Hospital).

Bio:
The director of music therapy at Anna Maria College for 28 years, Board-Certified Music Therapist/Professor Emeritus Lisa Summer is the leading voice and trainer for Helen Bonny’s transpersonal method, Guided Imagery and Music (GIM). She worked alongside Bonny as coordinator of her GIM training for a decade, and published Bonny’s collected writings, Music and Consciousness (Barcelona Publications). Dr. Summer’s own writing includes Music: The New Age Elixir, a critique of music healing, as well as book chapters and articles that chronicle her approach to the Continuum Model of GIM. Her service to the music therapy profession has been recognized by awards for research and service, including the American Music Therapy Association Presidential Award. Lisa is currently active, giving trainings, workshops, and presentations around the world and online through her Institute for Music and Consciousness. Since 2021 she has been a co-therapist and music programmer for psychedelic research trials in Boston. Lisa is excited to be exploring ways to apply music therapy theory and skills create new protocols for the use of music in preparation, dosing, integration; and new approaches for designing music programs.

Bio:
Simon Yugler je psychedelický terapeut, lektor s mezinárodními zkušenostmi a autor knihy Psychedelics and the Soul: A Mythic Guide to Psychedelic Healing, Depth Psychology and Cultural Repair. Získal magisterský titul v hlubinné psychologii na Pacifica Graduate Institute a vyučoval v pěti výcvikových programech pro psychedelické průvodce, např. v CIIS, Pacifica Graduate Institute, Naropa University a Inner Trek. Při svých četných cestách po celém světě se učil od domorodých kultur, např. od indiánské církve Native American Church a ayahuaskové tradice kmene Shipibo. Rok a půl působil jako vedoucí a terapeut v MycoMeditations, předním pobytovém centru psilocybinové terapie na Jamajce. Simon ve své práci integruje jungovskou psychologii, mytologii a animistické perspektivy a s nadšením pomáhá svým klientům a účastníkům retreatů nacházet cestu liminální divočinou duše.

Bio:
Simon Yugler is an internationally experienced psychedelic therapist, educator, and author of the book, Psychedelics and the Soul: A Mythic Guide to Psychedelic (North Atlantic Books, 2024). With a master’s in depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, he has taught for five psychedelic facilitator training programs, including CIIS, Pacifica Graduate Institute, Naropa University, and Inner Trek. He has traveled extensively, learning from Indigenous traditions such as the Shipibo ayahuasca practice and the Native American Church. Simon also spent a year and a half as a retreat leader and therapist at MycoMeditations, a renowned psilocybin therapy retreat center in Jamaica. Integrating Jungian psychology, mythology, and animistic perspectives, Simon is passionate about helping his clients and retreat participants explore the liminal wilds of the soul.

„Merry Mushroom: Ethnomycology of Amanita muscaria“
Throughout eras of great socio-cultural shift, Amanita muscaria has remained in the hearts and minds of the people in an unending web of continuity, albeit with varied connotations. By what authority did a simultaneously friendly emoji and feared decomposer get it’s modern cultural thumbprint? How can this misunderstood toadstool enmesh with todays multifaceted, myco-curious world?
What started out as an intellectual endeavor exploring notions of poison/medicine narratives became, over several years, a personal quest to reconcile with my own lineage, and the significant lore, magic, and pharmakon therein.
Indeed, as Amanita muscaria gains a foothold in the minds of daring entheogen enthusiasts, profit-driven “legal-high” peddlers of the west, and the allopathic medical industry alike, we face the complexity of a semi-regulated entity that has been almost severed from a rich, global folk-knowledge, with minimal clinical research to boot.
This presentation will touch upon:
• Global Amanita muscaria archeology: from Siberian petroglyphs to American art
• The enigmatic soma, the illustrious amrita, and the forbidden fruit: Moving beyond the Wasson & Allegro debates
• Toads, toadstools, lightning deities, and witches: European winter solstice celebrations, and the enigma of true flying ointments
• The significance of fairy tales: Gnomes, smurfs & the preservation of unsanctioned cosmologies
• Myco-chemistry primer: bridging applications of Amanita muscaria from the mythopoetic to the clinical

BIO:
Ash Ritter is an ethnobotanist, herbalist, and writer with over 23 years of study in clinical, traditional, academic, and directly-relational terrains. She is a devotee of curiosity, and especially savors the inquiry of history & mystery through the woven threads of fungi, people, and plants.
One-on-one long term apprenticeships are the cornerstone of her training, with a focus on clinical botanical & naturopathic medicines, Druid herbalism, California-Mexican curanderismo, and urban & wilderness first-aid. Her college thesis focused on the history of funga and flora in rites of passage, and altered states as evolutionary technology. Over the years, Ash’s research has honed in on the ethnobotany and ethnomycology of her wild west United States homelands, and the entheogenic traditions of her Bohemian ancestry.
Ash lectures internationally, and was recently mentioned in High Times Magazine “…her content on the mysterious Amanita muscaria mushroom merits recognition as some of the most thoroughly researched and exhaustively compiled content on the ethnomycology (folk traditions) and chemistry of this psychoactive fungus…“
While at home in the Sonoran desert, you can find Ash tucked away in her century-old gnome home, counseling and creating in her private practice Black Sage Botanicals. She enjoys tracking deer through the spiny brush, sitting with 200-year-old cacti, and waiting for monsoon season thunderstorms as she writes her first book.
