Czech Psychedelic Society has launched its new project Psychedelic Cinema, under which will regularly once per month organize screenings of psychedelic movies accompanied by afterparty with music and exhibition. We are continuing our journey on 7. 11. from 18:00 in Kino Pilotů with Czech film Bufo Alvarius – The Underground Secret with panel discussion in Czech with Czech shaman Ondřej Bahník and then a week after on 14. 11. from 18:00 will another projection take place with discussion in English with the movie director Filip Záruba.
After the second screening on 14.11. will follow up afterpartyin the place Beats From Basement, which is located right around the corner in Krymská 2. There will take place a psychedelic art projection of Filip Záruba , a concert of sound magician Stanislava Abrahám and DJ set of Milan Spiller.
Bufo Alvarius – The Underground Secret
A radical testimony of the strongest known natural psychedelic, tryptamine 5-MeO-DMT produced by Bufo Alvarius, a toad of the Sonoran desert. The breathtaking audio-visual adventure is enhanced by immersive animations inspired by the psychoactive effects of this extraordinary substance. Fascinating stories of a group of Czech psychonauts are combined with personal insights of Stanislav Grof, a judicious nestor of transpersonal psychology, and Octavio Rettig, a controversial neoshaman who has facilitated ceremonial contact with Bufo Alvarius for thousands of volunteers from around the world. For many, the experience has been life-changing. Originally intended to simply document these experiences, the film evolved into an intense meditation on the nature of consciousness and being.
Filip Záruba – Film Director
Holotropic states and art have been intertwined in my life as a common thread. I felt the need to share my psychedelic experiences with people, provide education, destigmatize psychedelics, and advocate for their decriminalization So, together with friends, we founded the Asaya association, which mission is to promote transpersonal psychology, shamanism, mysticism, psychedelic research, and new paradigms in science. We organize lectures, conferences, publish books, and produce films. In 2016, I had a profound encounter with the psychedelic 5-MeO-DMT. Imagine spending your whole life searching, meditating, believing… Then you take a few milligrams of this substance from a pipe, and within fifteen minutes, you experience something that makes you truly understand. To ensure that as many people as possible learn about this unique phenomenon, I decided to use my experience in creating 3D animations to produce the documentary „Bufo Alvarius – The Underground Secret.“
The film is designed as an audio-visual adventure, enhanced by original experiential animations inspired by this extraordinary substance. Fascinating testimonies from a group of psychonauts complement the personal stories of S. Grof and the controversial neo-shaman O. Rettig. The film has received numerous awards at film festivals in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Venice, Barcelona, and Ostrava. I created 20 minutes of visionary 3D animations for the film. Because of the film, I co-founded the production company Asaya Productions with L. Kraina, where I work as a director, producer, screenwriter, editor, cameraman, and music composer.

Stanislav Abrahám – sound artist, musician, educator
His performances are a combination of electronic ambient soundscapes and field recordings, enriched with the playing of stones, the fujara, gongs, or sundrums. As a sound designer, he has collaborated with various artists in different audiovisual projects such as dance theater, film, live cinema, installations, radio programs, and mapping. As an educator, he has led numerous workshops on recording for various artistic institutions. Currently, he works as a sound designer at Czech Radio and in his free time, he is involved in music therapy practice.

DJ Em Spiller
An indefatigable promoter of alternative, electronic, and dance music, a producer, and a DJ performing since 1999, he is the founder of the Music Sound Generation label. After an extended stay abroad, he began collaborating with the producer Roman Rai on the Echoes from Dust project (under the Moving Pictures label). He is involved in curating and producing the one-artist festival – Cool v plotě in the South Bohemian town of Písek. He is a co-founder and the main curator of the open-air ARTORZO festival at the ruins of Krakovec Castle. He collaborates with projects like OMNION, TRANS ORGANIC, Develooper, DRONEscape, and the NTS trio. In 2021, he composed the title music for the short film „Life is Bullshit“ (Život není snadný) directed by Will Zavadil, in which he also played the lead role.
Filip Záruba – projection of psychedelic art
Currently, the main theme of his work is visionary art, sometimes featuring photorealistic creations with messages related to ecology or current events. His most significant source of creative inspiration is ayahuasca. Sometimes, he receives complete artworks through inner visions, and there is no need to add or subtract anything. The work is already finished, and he just has to recreate it. He has synesthesia since childhood. This is very inspiring for him even without any psychedelics. Just by listening to good music, he see colorful abstract patterns in his mind. Then he use these patterns in his visual art, or conversely, when he creates music, it is greatly influenced by how he perceives it with my inner sight.
